Our Pilates Step Barrels (also known as Spine Correctors) are incredibly strong. Where other manufacturers bend 1/8" laminate over ribs, we build our own 3/8" laminate in the shape of the barrel. The result: a super-strong barrel you can stand on without risk of breakage.

Upgrades for Contour Step Barrel
Your Contour Step Barrel can now be upgraded to the full functionality of the Avalon Step Barrel! Add sockets and spring arms to allow the use of springs for resistance-based repertoire. (Both sockets and spring arms are required, to enable the use of springs.)
Need springs, loops and handles for your upgraded Contour Step Barrel? Our convenient Accessory Package includes 2 neoprene handles, 2 cotton loops, and 2 closed-hook, long springs (yellow, very light), with a carabiner at each end for attaching to spring arm.

Clara Step Barrel®
With Pilates Step Barrel classes quickly gaining in popularity, a stackable barrel makes a lot of sense. Clara Step Barrels can be stacked up to 8 high. This design is just like our West Coast Step Barrel, only we replaced the metal handles with vertical cut-out handles. Ron Fletcher notes that Clara Pilates was fond of this apparatus, and the new handle design better facilitates the work she taught him.
